Local Food Banks Serve Growing Numbers Living on the Edge


A new Gallup survey finds Delaware is third in the nation when it comes to the percentage of people struggling to afford food. The need is also high on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, where local food banks distributed more than 3.5 million pounds of food during the past fiscal year. We visit the Cape Henlopen Food Basket in Rehoboth Beach to find out how the all-volunteer operation is working to meet demand in coastal Delaware, and then we'll swing by the massive facility used by the Maryland Food Bank in Salisbury.
