Politicians at the local and national level can find their legacies made or destroyed by how they respond to a natural disaster. So it was no surprise that in the days following Sandy’s departure, elected officials were quick to get out, survey the scene, and offer their take on the storm response. We'll get the political perspective on Sandy from two mayors — Ocean City’s Rick Meehan and Salisbury’s Jim Ireton — along with Governor Martin O’Malley and U.S. Senator Barbara Mikulski.
