Easton Emerges as National Arts Hub with Plein Air Festival


Artists from around the world are gathered in Easton, Md. this week. They're here for Plein Air Easton, a week-long festival designed to bring bring artists together to paint outdoors, in the open air. The event is now the largest and most prestigious juried plein air painting competition in the United States, and this year more than 240 artists from five continents applied to take part.  Bryan Russo looks at how this grassroots event has gained such national prominence, and what it says about the state of the arts on the Eastern Shore.
