Salisbury Mayor Jim Ireton was re-elected by a 2-1 margin back in April. That election also saw a swing in the City Council’s majority, one that  was expected to make it easier for Ireton to push through his agenda.  But while the political changes have seemingly altered what was a venomous political tone in Salisbury, the Council hasn’t been the rubber-stamping majority some critics claimed it would be. We'll talk with Ireton about the new political climate. Then, we'll head up to Selbyville, Delaware, to visit the performing arts venue that's trying to bring the arts to a larger number of people on the coast.
