Customers Flock to Gun Stores as New Md. Law Goes into Effect / The Future of Smith Island
A new gun control law goes into effect in Maryland next week. It will restrict access to certain types of guns and require handgun buyers to submit fingerprints to the State Police. As a result, gun stores say they're being flooded with customers looking to purchase firearms. We'll talk with the owner of a Berlin, Md. firearms store about what his customers are saying about the new law and its potential impact. Then, we'll switch gears and talk with WAMU's Jonathan Wilson about his recent series on the future of Smith Island.
